you did what you could do, which was stop when you noticed they specified that. the most you can do is learn for the future to read the instructions extra carefully before you start but yeah, there's no reason to go seeking your own destruction.
I've had that situation happen to me before too, and now I'm very careful with instructions on any batch. Some will specify a weird number like you can only do 20 out of a batch of 300 or something

It looks fun but I'm also enjoying all the westerners being blindsided by this being their first introduction to gacha mechanics. It's unfortunate that genshin's gacha system is currently not the best from my understanding.

Np lmfao. It's been a ton of fun. My husband calls it Chinese breath of the wild. Lots of exploration and gathering mats for cooking/crafting. Keep in mind though, it is a gacha.

It's got normal gacha for characters and weapons. It also has a battle pass system that if you pay in you get better rewards. It's clearly very monetized but I haven't spent a dime and am enjoying it.
I've been playing gacha as a f2p person for a while. I got Arknights, FEH, Azurelane, GirlsFL, SinoAlice and a couple others I dropped. Always funny to see westerners get surprised by it.
