I think that some people don't see that as a problem. Their beliefs are absolutely correct, anyone who disagrees slightly is not only wrong but also a bad person, and therefore there is no room to grow because anything revolving around that belief has already been definitively settled.

Of course thats even more problematic when you're 20 years old.

I just saw one of the things that kind of relates. The vaccine issue. Too many people are able to pop online and look up 1-5 articles because they google the exact thing they want. "VACCINES CAUSE AUTSIM" 30k results they take the top that they like and use that. The same works for every opinion left and right. While I LOVE that we have access to the internet; it's pandoras box.
