Oh for anyone interested in Flex, my old man tried it last night and will not be doing it again lol. He got a bad route with too many packages but I don't think it pays as well as some of the Redditors say. I mean it's run by Amazon so honestly, it can't.

He decided to pick up from a hub that's 40 minutes from the house "just to try it out." We get there, wait in line and finally pull up to load the car. He got 19 packages! 19! Had to take them to an area called Spicewood out here west of Austin which was 30 minutes from the hub. Go all the way out there and never in my life have I seen such odd people. The first neighborhood we went into was gated. Had to get the code from the customer. Get in and EVERY HOUSE WAS ALSO GATED. Like wth?? Who is out here killing and robbing everyone? These weren't ranches either. And of course half of them don't leave a code in messages, answer texts or calls or have mailbox areas with a place to put the packages. Some places we went to were way out on dirt roads and shit. One lady wouldn't give the gate code and made him wait five minutes so she get in her car and drive down to get the package. I was sitting there wishing something bad would happen to her the whole time, like tumbling down her damn driveway. ash hole. All in all it took 3.5 hours to do the 3 hour block that paid $54 and we were gone for almost six hours. One hour drive back to the house. So even if he would have picked something closer it's still possible that three hour block would take three hours or more. I don't know where they got the estimate for that route because he was moving pretty quickly except for the idiots that had gate problems. Oh and another thing about gated homes, if the house is too far back from the gate or geolocation where Amazon states you can deliver the package, it won't clear the package out and you have to call and have it manually closed. Ridiculous!
