I've never wanted brunch more than I do in this moment.

 

I've been slacking on finishing my script writing course, or else I'd recommend buying it.

I have a programming background, but web development is fairly new to me.

I personally started writing Javascript a few months ago with Colt Steele's Web Developer Bootcamp. It's a 40-chapter course, and the first 20 chapters are concerned with front-end web development. I finished the first 20 chapters and took a break.

Then I went on a tangent, got a 1-month Lynda trial (which I knew of from the past from some music mixing lessons), and downloaded just about every lesson that I could imagine to be relevant. I've watched probably 10 of the lessons I downloaded from beginning to end.

Then I went to freeCodeCamp, slogged through all of the boring stuff that I was already comfortable with, and then completed all of the algorithm challenges in their Front End Developer course. I could earn their first certificate if I completed the projects, but I'm not all that certain I want to take all of that time just to prove to people that I know what I know. I might eventually do it if I run out of interesting new things to learn. It might be nifty to put a verifiable web developer certification on my website for freelance work.

I wish I had a rival. I've made some changes to Kadauchi's scripts, but he seems to be inactive these days, so he's not much of a rival. But I definitely grew more quickly by trying to make better versions of some of his (and some other people's) scripts.

I haven't tried any of those delivery services for fresh stuff. Obviously amazon fresh has great customer service. How do you feel about the service otherwise? I'm extremely lazy but haven't been willing to trust others to pick out my veg and fruits lol.

This reminds me that I spent a lot of the summer up in the Seattle area, and I forgot to try out the grocery store where you just walk out with your stuff, as well as the treasure truck.

Feels silly to miss out on those things, given how central Amazon is to my life.

My breakfast place has pumpkin spice waffles and pancakes (blech), and I immediately thought of @ChrisTurk

 

@angel and anyone else that uses a chromebook, do you know of a good extension that works like the windows snipping tool and just opens the image in a new tab? I use that a lot on my pc and I'd like to have that on the chromebook as well.
