I have to head out to a tech support site in a few and the only bright side to that is there is a Starbucks right by there so I can get my Iced Caramel Macchiato :emoji_heart_eyes_cat:

When I finally got enough money, I got one of the ones with the keyboard and trackpad and was so excited. Before that I had my Nextel PTT phone that I could drop in a sink full of water and take it out and worked clear as day. Omg, soooooo cool. Then I got a RAZR. My first phone that could hold REAL music and not those shitty faux ringtones!

    iPhone? Who wanted a iPhone?

Fast forward to today. Everyone. Everyone wants an iPhone.

    Oh, memories.

My first company phone was a Blackberry with the full keyboard. I used to whip that thing out at peoples desks and pretend to check something in my emails just so that they would ohh and ahh at it. You weren't a tech support person without one :emoji_joy_cat:

Let me tell you a story about me and smartphones. I was on AT&T when the iPhone came out. I owned a Palm Treo 650 and I was looking to upgrade. I didn't want to pay the iPhone prices and thought "Man, I want apps, not web pages!" So I looked around and decided "You know what I should buy? A Blackberry Curve that's what I should buy". SO I did. And it was fine for a few months, then the hardware started falling apart. After that experience I went back to a dumb phone for a while (LG Shine), and then eventually the time came to upgrade again and I was like "I want a smart phone now!" But I took a look at the options that were out there. This was the golden age, where Apple had just released I think it was the 3gs, and android was starting to really get into full swing, and Palm was out there with the Palm Pre.

So I decided: You know what you should buy? A Palm Pre. HP is about to buy them and they're going to put so much money into the platform to get the app store rolling, it's going to be great! I loved WebOS. Everything about it was awesome. The devices sucked, crappy hardware and bad quality control. So I went with the Palm Pre over the iPhone.
