We got a new smoke detector for the kitchen, and it's hella sensitive and pretty much has been going off at least once a week even when shit's not burning. So tonight I was trying out a new cooking technique (damn that sounds so much fancier than what I was actually doing lol) and while juggling multiple pots and pans on the verge of ruin with the alarm shrieking in my ear, my partner yells from the other room - "hey, [cute nickname redacted], the smoke alarm's going off"..... no forking shirt you got-danged piece of fork, it's two feet from my face you don't think I forking hear it??
