When I was a child I tried to make a penis out of legos, I lost my lego privilege for awhile.

 

So with the holiday season coming up, what are typically the slowest times for HITs? (Trying to set up a schedule for how much I need to make before the year ends.)

I won't have my computer for Thanksgiving week or at least a week or two in December, so I'm just wondering what other times I need to block out for slow/low earnings.

Thanksgiving week usually starting on Wednesday afternoon through the weekend.

The week from Christmas-New Years is usually the worst week of the year.

Thanks, that's very helpful. I have Thanksgiving week blocked out for no earnings, as well as anything after the 21st, so I'm good I think.

 

It's probably going to be slower in general to be honest, but it depends. Sometimes December is good before Christmas because colleges have money left they want to use instead of just lose for some studies.

You should probably prepare for January to be crappy, it has been the last couple of years.

 

I had a hit rejected yesterday and this reason was given.

my survey is not pulling back all of the information that was part of the survey. i am sorry but i need to remove the survey from mturk at this point

How should I go about emailing the requester since this is a clearly an issue on her end?

 

While that really sucks....and you should contract them, your submitted hit list in the dashboard should have a contact option, you might get hosed here.

Honestly, I've never had a problem making good money through the holidays. There always seems to be some fire batches that pop up and don't get devoured as fast as usual. Guess it just depends on what you work on. I do find there are fewer surveys, but I'm mostly a batch gal, so that might be why I don't feel quite as affected as other people that stick primarily with surveys.

 

I know how to reach them, I was asking for advice about protocol on the requester side for rejecting for issues on their end.

 

If you are finding something this morning I will salute you.

 

Eh I dunno, I think I'd at first try to be nice and just say that you shouldn't be penalized for their mistake and that is really bad work protocol and will effect their future studies etc etc.
