    I was considering giving it a try with the private server thing (for my wife and I)

    But the servers aren't persistent since if everyone logs out everything poofs and also the servers aren't really...private. They aren't clearing/resetting correctly and people are logging in to a "private" server they just spun up only to find things dead/looted.

    Sooo...I cri everytime.

    Basically the server is a way to fix the item storage problem they caused and give you some cosmetic items on top of it. Not your own virtual space you get to impact and keep. The name is so misleading.

    I think they want to make it cater to more of the core FO players (IE singleplayer) but that's going to be almost impossible. The entire situation was just a flop and while I love exploring new concepts/ideas in games I think 76 might be a lost cause. They took a lot of what made FO interesting (dialog, lore, killin' bandits/raiders (or just human nocs in general) and left it out cause "lol why not". Now they realize they screwed up and want to fix it.

    Personally...I think it it should have been like PSO or Diablo where I can play in my own private world if I want or I can play with friends/strangers. But even that wouldn't have fixed the game completely since one of the big things that bugged me personally was no human NPCs. Sure it's a petty complaint...but myeh.
