yes, I have many responses from himself, his IRB and his professor. The most recent BS email I got from him was yesterday, claiming he cannot find my ID on his spreadsheet to over turn it. I have heard that before....he is a scammer through and through.

We do have settings in place on the MTurk site that filter out participants who have taken the survey previously. Unfortunately, these settings are limited in functionality and do not screen out every repeat responder.

Is this requester just flat out lying to me?
Also for reference, they used no quals, just added in the consent to only participate once.
I participated almost ~5months ago, I've reinstalled work trackers.

But settings limited in functionality? Am I getting roused here? There were no quals on this HIT, just an old hit and new group id. After what I've learned on mturk, I'm not sure I want to reply and argue against this?

he is a scammer with a PHD. I have had other's try to claim they can't find my submission. It's like WELL it's there on my damn dashboard.

Nah, I know. I sent him a screenshot of the completed HIT along with not one, but two, links on how to reverse rejections and/or find submissions even before I know about those "answers" he gave you. I'd like to see him try.

Sometimes there's no changing requesters minds. A lot of rejections (not all) come from not knowing how to use the platform properly and not straight up malice. You have to look into your time lost with the back and forth emails and see if its worth it. You could probably make enough money and then some to cover the rejection by just letting it go.

I also sent him links on how to overturn it. He is just like other scammers, trying to play dumb and waiting for the 30 days to pass so it can't be overturned. Been there and done this pony show before. I will bug the living crap out of him, his professor and his IRB up until Nov 15th.

 

Messing with a witch so close to Samhain... tsk tsk.

 

I like how you and I are going to bring down a scammer over 20 cents. It's the principle.
