@Terrasita in case you are unaware of what dealing with Paypal can be like since plenty of people seem to think they are fantastic, that equates to scary territory. It's why I'm still unclear on why legitimate companies use Paypal to pay employees, the legal recourses for dealing with them are not remotely equal to that of a bank as people seem to assume. They are their own judge and jury on all matters and with no intervening third party. The good news is that Amazon Payments has never risen to the level of having Paypal shenanigans and they are also more susceptible to being sued because of their various businesses, but it would still be difficult.

It's a shame. Really, the best way to get anywhere with Amazon, I would assume, is to spread the word with how crappily they are handling this, because, as you said, they are a business first and foremost. From what I've read, this isn't the first time they've screwed something up with payment dispersal.

I'm considering signing Bearnie up for Secret Santa, because I'm realistic about the fact that if I signed up, the gift would be for Bearnie lol.

 

Tens of thousands have tried to do the same with Paypal with little success, I'd imagine anything related to Amazon would be even more difficult. But it's definitely a shame. I don't recall a problem like this, there've been a few minor things, but don't recall anything this extended since it's been a week now.

Did anyone affected try a second withdrawal and have that go through? Like was it one withdrawal and the others are fine or is it the account in general that has gone into a strange glitch? That would be so much better if just one withdrawal was pending but the others since were successful.

 

Yes, it is just the one withdrawal.

 

A lot of the Paypal nightmares came from the days it was easier to screw people over on ebay. Nowadays they have buyer/seller protection which has made it much better to do business on ebay. Just thinking about how bad it was then is making me angry.

 

IIRC, it was @MoonGrass that had a really bad experience and pretty much turned me off to selling anything of value on eBay.
