I guess I just have a long torso? lol, my ankles are always covered. I do wear my pants on my hips, not at my waist, so that might account for a bit of the difference.

 

I'm 6'1" and wear 32 length. They cover my shoes just fine too. This Patrick person must be all legs.

 

Matt wears a 32 length and he's only 5'10". He said it's because of his baby birthing hips.

 

34" is pretty normal for the 6 foot range, mildly leggy but still normal.

32" is common for stocky 6'ers.

Everything above and below is an outlier.

This is one of the areas I have a lot of info on as a cyclist, since cyclists usually ballpark bike size fittings by a combination of inseam and total height.

Matt wanted you to know that while the "spandex wearing idiots," look for a frame that lets them extend their legs the most when pedaling, "superior, bmx bikers," will look for a smaller frame so that the seat doesn't "hit their big, awesome balls," while jumping.

Those of us with any racing aspirations are also really good at putting ourselves in a state of physical agony where we think to ourselves "I can stand this for maybe 10 more seconds, tops, before I collapse" and somehow manage to maintain that same state for an hour or more.
