However, in @SunlitSunflower defense, Japanimation DID bring us the Power Rangers and The Boondocks is animated in anime style. But anime is messed up in general. We either nuked Japan too hard, or didn't nuke them enough.

That's really close to saying paintings are all Picaso style. To broadly claim that all anime is teenage girl or highschool is really childish. Yes, there are titty anime out there but not all anime is titty. I don't even watch titty anime. There are real stories out there that can't be told to conventional acting. Compare Angel Beats to Cowboy Bebop. Take Konasuba to My Hero Academia. Put Pokemon up to Darling in the Franxx. Yes it's all ANIME but it's no where near the 'same genre' of anime.

 

I just think that if you'rea ganna diss all anime you gotta understand that it's not ONE thing you're dissing. It's a huge thing that spans so many types of stories. Legend of the Galactic Heros *is a space war series for hundreds of episodes without any fan service. You got Mushishi which is super sad and heart wrenching. Grave of the fireflies is about children and sadness. Then there is Cencoroll about a giant alien blob thing and all it's powers. Yeah there are a lot of garbage highschool animes out there. You can also fucking avoid them. You read books and see a lot of smut books, you avoid the smut books(hopefully) and pick up real stories. Anime is just the style of story telling, not the genre of story.
