i don't have the heart to kill it or even have a dead animal in my house, so....any alternatives to getting a rat out? i do have sticky traps but the idea of having it squeak and squeal while trying to escape or hurting itself mades me cringe as well as a snapping mouse trap. it's not bothersome. it's in hiding and only seen it 4 times (twice today) and kinda fed it a cookie to see where it was currently (somewhere under my wrap around couch not sure if it's still there or not) so....any ideas? tips?

i hate to side with you on this, because it sounds sexist as hell. but you are right. i dont know the demographics for twitch, but it has to be predominantly male viewers.

BUT. totally reputable people making it on there.

 

Rats/mice are a major health/cleanliness issue. They poop everywhere and they will destroy everything.

Trust me, it's going to be bothersome if you don't get rid of it asap, and it will bring it's friends.

I had a crazy bad mouse infestation at my old apartment, and it was a disaster. We had a couple mice invade the ducts of our last house and it made my cat deathly ill when mouse poop was blowing in the house from the vent.

They have humane traps where you can release them once they are caught, but you need to let that sucker go far away from your place and then look around your house and figure out how it got in. Spaces around vents or under doors? A hole it chewed through the wall? Even a tiny hole can let in a battalion of those fucks.

Good thinking. So far, I've only seen one. I'm not sure if there are others. It's going to be a Grinch to move furniture around or look where it come from or to even find where it is. Other than sticky traps, are there other traps to use so it can die quickly and painlessly without any blood and gore getting everywhere?

Whenever my GF would leave the lights on in the RV, it was always her job to go out with the jumper cables and look pathetic.
Approximately 1000x faster response than me going around and asking for a jump.
All kinds of dudes out there thinking "this was their chance to impress her, be the knight, etc." or whatever.

@ChrisTurk coined a phrase a while ago for a lot of the things that I say that boiled down to essentially "incorrect truths" or something... Lol.
