Anyone around from last nights meltdown of anxiety that didn't see it earlier that cares... alternator, battery and timing belt were all replaced (first 2 dead, belt as a preventative measure) as well as wiper blades and oil change was 1044, plus 95 for the tow to Firestone

 

A lot of the first badass pilots were actualy women! Usually educated women who had nothing much else to do lol. During the wars, women pilots were the ones who flew war planes to the dude pilots. P 51s were notoriously hard to fly, because the pilots often did not have much, if any training on the plane before they had to take it out, and very little time to prep with the manual. What everyone tends to leave out, is that the pilots who flew the damn mustangs across the sea were often ladies with less training on this new warplane than the dudes.

I took a class on it when I was going up the chain of warplanes from the trainer to the mustang, and it was super interesting. There is this friendly, old man pilot who LOVES to always tell me how awesome the lady pilots were and how they don't get enough credit.

 

Can someone bring me a Gatorade though?
