First, that's not what you said before. You said you can basically only get Atlantic salmon on the East Coast. I'm saying that's completely inaccurate. I wasn't discussing what kind if preferred one way or the other. The idea that you can't get salmon from the NW or Alaska or Norway on the East Coast is truly a joke.

I'm not too hung up on the minute details, so I won't even bother arguing them, because they're irrelevant.

The essence of what I was getting at is that fish options and quality are extremely local, and that it's worth re-evaluating whether or not you like fish when you move to a new place (especially if that place happens to be the PNW).

Do it like 10 times in a row and you'll be fine.
Happens to me all the time.

    Today's Projected Earnings: $26.75

I somehow fell down a rabbit hole and have been learning how to make candles for the past 4 hours instead of actually Turking.

    Dunno.

I'm a fan of requesting it every day.

If you end up selling them locally or on Etsy, you could trace that back to today and retroactively add your earnings to today's PE.

That's the plan! Surprisingly it's not that saturated of a market in my city. Soaps are, which is interesting because there's a lot more liability in that. I figure it'll be an interesting time killer since it's getting cold here, and worse case scenario I have a bunch of cheap gifts to hand out for the holidays.

This convo has reminded me there's an old school New Orleans style place in Dallas called S&D Oyster Co. that I go to every time I'm up there. They get all their seafood fresh from Louisiana daily. The cool part is that they only have 6 things on their dinner menu. Shrimp, Oysters, Red Snapper, Grouper, Flounder, and Trout. Also, if they can't get it shipped fresh, they don't offer it. The key is that they know how to properly cook a piece of fish. Broiled with a little butter and some Cajun spice sprinkled on top. If you order oysters on the half shell to start, the waiter will make the sauce at the table for you, then have some gumbo before the fish comes. Finish it all up with their lemon pie and you'll be in heaven.

I'd take a place like that over any really. Gulf Coast seafood is something else.

I'm into artisan soaps. Mostly shave soaps, but I buy plenty of bath stuff too. Let me know if you make anything for gentlemen and I'll try it.

Just got my fall order of shave soaps and aftershaves from one of my favorite small batch places, Sterling Soaps. Always looking for new stuff though.

As you can see most of it is shaving soap because I like to smell good.

I got Matt a John Varvatos cologne for christmas a couple years ago, caus he will just smell like old spice soap if you leave it to him. Everyone thinks he has excellent taste in cologne, but really IT WAS MEEEEE.

It's getting cold enough that I'm up for cooking gumbo and such again. But I can't make seafood gumbo. I hate that I can't get decent seafood up here. Supposedly there's a market in St. Louis that is great, but my timing has never worked out to check it out. I eat better seafood in Fort Wayne than I do in St. Louis (I have a friend with a food truck that has his seafood shipped). I eat soooo much seafood when I go home. I was supposed to go in September but The Boy getting hospitalized messed that up. Now i'm hoping my mom and dad will have mercy and get me a good collection of frozen stuffs up here for Christmas.

Right? I started doing the safety razor and brush with lather shaving about 2 years ago. My wife loved the really clean smells, but didn't care for the earthy stuff. Now that she's out of the picture I have all kinds of scents. Piney, citrus, earthy, tobacco, spices, even one that smells like margaritas. It's become a hobby or something. I started because it was cheaper and better than cartridges and those cans of goop, but now I have like 5 years worth of shaving supplies and it easily cost me $200 a year.

I have an excessive personality that gets me into trouble when no one is around to keep me in check.
