they're more of a fancy sweeper robot than a vacuum. They suck(like vacuum cleaner style suck), but mostly just suck what gets swept into its roller mouth. Great on hardwood or tile or whatever, but I don't trust it'd be all that great on carpet. However I hear people claim they're good on their carpet, but idk if I believe it

 

Agreed. But they are much better than just not vacuuming and I got mine last week and my place hasn't been this clean in a while!

 

yeah seriously i love mine and I urge everyone I can to get one, especially if they have wood or tile or whatever. It's awesome not having to deal with cat hair all over. And it's very surprising just how much dust and hair it picks up despite running it multiple times per day.

Also it kind of forces me to pick up things off the floor that will end up jamming my circular robot friend. Always make an effort to pick up cat toys and stray cords and sweatshirts and whatever - so just by having it kind of forces me to straighten up a bit - which is a good thing

Exactly how I see it. Although on my side, it's for my GF's hair more than cat hair. And yeah, I've been running it for like 2h almost everyday for a week and the dust container still gets a nice big chunk of dust every time.
