I was threatening to buy a second computer and third monitor this black friday, but I think now I'm gonna do it lol

 

I accidentally refreshed a 1.12 and lost my completion code.

 

Right now I am turking for Christmas presents. After Christmas I will see about starting to upgrade computer and other stuff. Though my first purchase after starting turking again was to upgrade my RAM and that has helped me a lot.

 

Prime directive, exterminate.

 

I mostly only use my SSD for booting up Windows and system files. Everything else, main apps, documents & media are on HDDs. So the 256 GB SDD size doesn't really bother me.

 

I've seen the movie that was inspired by your rig. The movie Swordfish!

 

I only did it because we were upgrading all the monitors at work so I got to take these plus 2 Lenovo Thinkcentres home for free.

I do this as well Crucial 256 SSD for $70. Everything else can go on the harddrive.

 

That's about the only perk I miss from working in office jobs. The free gear when they upgrade their stuff. Railroads have very little office gear, and whatever gear they do own they hold onto for at least 50 years.

The computer I use to sign off from work for the night is still using an IBM 3270 mainframe computer, they have to use a terminal emulator for us to properly access it.

Most of the yard engines I get to work with are older than me. They're older than the company I work for. It wouldn't surprise me if they were once owned by the long-defunct Penn Central RR. Some of them you can see the old Conrail paint underneath the current chipping away paint job.
