    Do people really have that much trouble with dry air? Would you die if you came to the desert for a week? It's such a foreign concept to me. About the only thing I do is stop using aftershave with alcohol in it during winter. When I go to places with wet climates, I don't even need lotion.

    I know the reverse is true. I had some friends from California down here and I took them to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. They literally had trouble breathing because of the humidity/temperature and how "thick" the air felt. One of them still tells the story of how they almost died to our air soup.
