11/21 - Torqued Tuesday!

You and your freaky food stuff would love kombucha I bet. I have several friends who brew it, and split off "the mother" to share with friends from time to time. I think the concept is gross. And it's not dead probiotics, they are very alive as long as it stays cold and isn't pasturized after innoculation. Kefir is the same way, and a lot of folks have better luck with keffir, probably because it isn't quite as gross, and you can more easily do juices and make them fizzy. No, I don't drink that either. Source: Crunchy friends with tons of immune system issues.

Kombucha seems like a trick to make the health-conscious start drinking sugar again.

The mother consumes the sugars. The longer you let it ferment, the less sugar remains.

Hmm, I tried Kefir in yogurtish form but didn't see the difference between it & yogurt so just defaulted back to the greek goodness.. didn't know it was supposed to be a drink

Thanks. I knew it it was coming, she told me I couldn't take off any time to drive to Cali, still thought I was in the clear until the new year.
