Hopefully he isn't the type of dog affected by grapes, research on that has been pretty iffy and I fed my aunt's dog grapes way before I knew they could make him sick and he was always fine. Also, look into dog proofing your trash or keeping him in a room of his own when you leave if this is a frequent occurrence. King has his own little room that he gets shoved into when no one's around to keep him out of trouble.

Also to add any idea how many he would have eaten? If you have a big dog and he ate like 10 grapes he'll probably be ok, it all kinda depends.

Just a final thing, if its been pretty recent, the vet can make him puke and all that if you think it happened.

 

Thankfully the vet told me that he should be fine based on his weight and all. I usually put the trash in the bedroom while we are gone until I can save up for a heavier duty trashcan. I just need to watch for abnormal behaviors for the next few hours
