My flat stanley went to stay with my aunt and uncle who owned a dental practice in Pennslyvania LOL. It wasn't the most interesting adventure for the dude, but they were the only responsible family members my dad could depend on to send him back.

Flat Stanely and I had a blast in Clemson. He went to a football game , rode in the Formula SAE car, went to the Esso club,went backstage in the theater and learned how to run a light board, learned about Chaucer, worked the front desk of a dorm, did his first tequila shots (we left that part off the presentation of course HAH!). I was really delighted to carry on the tradition cause I thought Flat Stanley was awesome when I was a kiddo. I'm guessing that's why they asked me, knowing I would go all out like a crazy person.

I'm glad the little dude will finally come home! I'm sure your daughter will be jazzed. Sorry about your friend though, that sounds pretty rough.

 

i got a few in the mail randomly when i was a young kid and i was mind blown and would add cool pictures and then make my mom mail them to someone else. the days of the pen pal are behind us :[

 

What's a flat stanley and why are we giving them to children?
