For real though, this couldn't be more laughable to me. The other day Chris said something like, "Remember when people would randomly tag you and say 'that jessers girl is a Grinch'?" Because for real that type of crap happened for no reason on MTG. Publicly. I feel like I'm telling a war story, in a rocking chair on my front porch, but guys, for real, that's the type of scum the core of this was, and Chris made this place out of the ashes of it which is mindblowing to me. To think that TH is cliquey or whatever tf is a joke because it was created to be (and succeeds at being) the antithesis of cliquey, snobby assholes. Just today I messaged Chris about how great TH is because someone asked a newbie question without reading a few posts back, something that would have gotten them jumped, robbed, tarred and feathered and left crying in the fetal position, but there were, what, five? detailed posts, immediately, helping the person. Mr. Sammy boy himself had his hand held every mf'ing time the dude whined, and people still jumped up to take time out of their day to encourage and support him. So, how did we get from that to here?

Yeah, there are cliques, squads, tribes, whatever. That's going to happen anywhere. Take a sociology course. No, just go outside and observe humans for like two minutes. Once Chris was criticized for being a bully because of a comment taken out of context (he was just defending mturk tos lol), even though dude posted script after script and helpful info without anybody knowing who tf he was. I think the first time I ever @'ed him was to point out about how lurked hard and only came out of hiding to help people. Being called names after he was never anything less than helpful and selfless is hilarious because of how wrong it was. The drama here is no different than that - dude creates a warm, welcoming, comfortable, HELPFUL place, and he gets shit on for doing the objectively right thing. Sometimes I get unedited, unadmin'ed Chris and even when he's going off about something or gushing about something that made him happy (looking at you, @NBadger), his outlook and the way he runs TH is objectively in the right place. Hell, to avoid being misread like on the old forum, I've purposely avoided being in cliques here (and sometimes even talking at all), but I've still made connections that will last a lifetime... Which is the literal opposite of being a cliquey forum. Because Chris made this place with his blood, sweat, tears, little sleep, horrifying food, and hopefully some booze, and the passion he put into it is palpable enough to make the users better people out of respect and appreciation. So, yeah, fuck anyone who says this place is shitty or says anything shitty about Chris. And clearly fuck paragraphs and grammar.

I'm quiet, but I still here pop my head in here occasionally. I took a break because of the slowness of the Thanksgiving holiday, and immediately following the holiday weekend I bid & won for a job at work that makes no less than 4 hours OT every night. That should make up for my $700 car repair bill I just paid yesterday. The 2 guys I'm worried most about at the yard for seniority can't bump me off the job for at least 3 weeks. So I've got 3 weeks to earn some regular full time job pay plus decent overtime.

 

I used 2 liter tops and 1 12 pk. to get (2) 5.00 Amazon gift cards....most of them I already had filled with water in case of storms...
