That's another reason I quit using it. My local area has a bunch of idiots on it that are borderline illiterate and will offer $10 for a few hundred dollar item. For the illiterate part I can barely understand some of the shit they comment on my posts.

Yep, several FB groups have ridiculous power-addicted admins who have no power in other areas of their life, so they abuse their moderation roles to make themselves feel powerful and important.

FB buy/sell groups are a dime a dozen though. Even when I was living in Ontario, a tiny town of 10,000 on the border of Idaho/Oregon, I belonged to 30 different active local buy/sell groups where I could reliably offload the expensive stuff I'd bought while I put off going back to work when IL shut down.

 

I say this to myself on a daily basis.
