Some people make money as a game, so it's not that they're "forcing" themselves to work, but that they actually "want" to work so that they can "win".

I know from PMs with some people that trying to beat @Randomacts is their main motivator for grinding hard to earn a lot.

And I feel like @Randomacts plays mTurk as a game as well, because the only thing he really likes is anime, and he doesn't even pay for that. What else is he gonna do with his money, bathe in it?

I seriously wasn't singling anyone out because I was talking about so many people But yes, your post did remind me of this.

But, at very least, you're self-aware. That is, in and of itself, admirable.

I'm not baffled. I know my issues. And if I were in a situation where slacking wasn't an option, I'd do what I needed to do. But luckily I don't have to deal with that. And there ARE people who are in dire financial situations that won't or can't do what they need to do, here or elsewhere, to pull themselves up, and will always blame other people or situations for them not being able to do so. I guess I'm just not really sure why you brought this up other than to tell people like me (but not me, because you aren't naming names or singling anyone out) that we're big bad awful people about "whining" about how we can't make money like other people when others have no choice but to work harder. It sounds like you're playing a mom trying to make me clean my plate by making me guilty by talking about all those starving children in third world countries.
