Thanks for the entertainment tonight guys. Hopefully I'll feel up to turking a little harder tomorrow (still getting over being sick from my nephews.) G'night!

See you in the morning for z's....were there z's today or was Tuesday the death rattle?

    Good night @jdzane :D

I'm more dere than tsun :ba:

It's just a minor interest of mine, though I'm otherwise rather computer illiterate. I know how to use them basically, how to try and protect it, and how to destroy them. I have no idea how programs or hardware and stuff works it's like a lot of voodoo to me lmao. It usually works when I need it to and I'm not tech focused enough to really bother to learn the details

My purse is a war zone so unless I keep up on wallets to make sure they don't completely fall apart and replace when needed so my money and everything doesnt get everywhere and make more of a mess. It's already bad enough. I have a tendency of just throwing everything in it lmao

I didn't get into the "buy this once" mindset until very recently. I finally got my first "adult" wallet last year. Sure, it's from a department store, but it's much better than the crap I had been using for the past decade-plus.

Ah, gotcha. I'm using it for unintended purposes: Ie, to break out of processing the rest of Google (Sergey's) script. My stuff tends to be using a chainsaw where a scalpel would suffice, but a little bloody tearing never hurt anyone outside a horror movie. ;)

You seem to know at least a bit more then the 'baseline' that I wished that more people could reach for tech knowledge with how things are these days so that is good. :arms:

And more dere is always better then tsun. :az:

I'm fairly certain that is why I would be an awful mod.. I seem to be in the middle of drama a lot even if I'm not at fault.

Tonight's random spouting: I don't know a single scripter here, including [and especially] Kad, who isn't self taught with a chain of posts on SO to prove it. I mean, the ones who are like, "Oh, scripting, I should learn that" and take baby steps modding someone elses, and then do their first one, and are like, "Wow, that's actually not that hard." and then go on to do something like Overwatch [ @Ethraiel ] or a bunch of useful utilities [ @Kadauchi, mmmturkeybacon, et al] and a great hairy manly chest [ @THFYM]. I had some really good talks with jqkill [RIP <8] where we helped each other, and @Babadooba. Then, there's that @ChrisTurk dude, of PRE and forum fame. :p

One common theme, I think, among people, even competing for the same resource, is one can choose to live with integrity and a spirt and willingness to help others. I think when people make a real show of not sharing anything useful, but just bragging about how awesome they are, it's merely a sign that they're terribly insecure and useless. And also assholes.

If I hadn't already had my Ramen, I'd totally be ordering some [censored for political correctness] to eat tonight.

@WimpLo is like the perfect forum member.. Quietly racks up 500 posted HITs a month all while never making a peep. I actually made something for folks like her in mind :)

And on that note, @TissueHime I need to snag dibs on tomorrow (Friday) thread..

Still doing that weird "show you the same page twice" thing on the taptalk app. Seems to repeat right after the ad. Don't know who's end it's on.

And I keep forgetting @WimpLo's a girl... Forever Jackie Chan in my mind

It's just one of those things I had some interest in at one time, though it's at least been way more useful than other things I learned for no other reason besides a passing interest I had at one moment another.

Oh yeah, I don't doubt that a lot of highly-socialized behavior (on the internet or elsewhere) is learned in dysfunctional families.
