Looks like @ChrisTurk may have the HIT posting thing messing up with those images.

 

Seems to be a weird bug with tumblr gifs being put through the ssl on this site or w/e.

@ChrisTurk fix this or something dunno

You can rehost it to imgur and it should fix that.. just make sure you link the .gif if you want it to work correctly..

or to save bandwidth or people you can use https://gfycat.com/ and link as media.

I do still like using gfycat so I can save people some bandwidth.

 

I think it has something to do with how the url is cloaked or cached on TH and tumblr not playing nice with that...

I think I mentioned something about sleep though..

 

Also, I only guess the HIT thing because of the &hash at the end of the URL.
Funny enough, it shows up in the editor

Have to proxy images posted to the board or lose SSL, so screw Tumblr. Actually that applies anyway. (jk)

@Kadauchi I believe the hash is for if people are using the site as a pseudo image hosting board (load the image here, link to it a million times elsewhere.. like what a lot of people do to MTG with the old smilies). If they are you can change the key on the back end and it'll break them (but update the hash on the board?). That's my understanding based on the 2 explanation sentences in the admin panel at least

 

Oh ok, I haven't played with a backend in a long while but that makes sense out side of the having to proxy images.

 

Interesting, requesting it from tumblr over http makes it work perfectly fine. Super duper
