The worst feeling when I worked retail was being put on the express lane and watching someone walking up with a full buggy and then you're stuck dealing with it because you're not allowed to turn them away. Then the people in line behind them with like 1-3 items start getting mad at me for it and it only adds to the stress.
This is partly why I quit retail. You weren't allowed to tell them, no bro, you can't bring an entire buggy full of trash into the 10 or fewer lane. You're ruining it for everyone.

 

I tried to roll up in the express line with a bag of dog food, a red bull, and several cans of wet food I was balancing because I was too stubborn for a cart. Some lady with a big ass cart that had like 30 items cut me off and I was just standing there juggling cat food and red bull while staring her down.

Yeah, I would've lost my job there. I can't stand people who seem to be unaware that there's an entire planet of people that exists around them.

 

I am absolutely anal about that sort of thing. If I'm even near the cap (10 items or 15 or whatever) I'll get in a regular line. My buddy though, he'll count it out and like, put a thing back so that it's technically under the limit. Don't worry, I tell him he is scum.
