    One of the perks of Mturk is the ease of not working for certain requesters. Sure you lose out on the possibility of money by doing so... but at the end of the day, you can easily decide if it's worth it. The requester may have not meant it to be hostile but considering how bad blocks can be for workers it's enough to send up a red flag for some.

    Personally, if the requester had never added the jackass part I wouldn't have ever thought twice about it. However just like when I read a hit description that sounds risky "we will block/reject you for x" I decided to not do anymore. It's not a big conspiracy it's ultimately just a personal choice for each worker.

    Sure you can always get rejected (and should) for bad work but when it feels like the requester is sorta block/reject happy it's just a calculated risk that some aren't willing to take.

    Dude, I get what you're trying to say here, but your reasoning is shit. By that same logic, an AC that requires a response of "Always" on a bubble page that you'd straightline as "Never" (ex: "I'm late for work", "I do personal business at work", "I take longer breaks than allowed", etc) is unfair because it's unnatural.

    I'm not going to bust my ass arguing about this because it's not MA forum, but the discrepancy in moderating is pretty shit. Whether or not you agree with the methods, it was an attention check -- an image of which was posted here. If there are exceptions, consider writing them into the guidelines for transparency, so all the requesters that you work so hard to impress know that if you deem their methods unnatural, it'll spill over to a public forum.

    Agreed. My first reaction when I read the sentence was a double take. Re-reading it made me want to return it as my way of saying FU to the requester for his unprofessional and offensive message. I would most certainly have called that message hostile, and even IF he didn't mean to imply that every single person taking his/her survey was a jackass, he failed miserably at wording the message appropriately. Just because some workers may have replied in a manner he disliked, is no reason to call everyone taking his survey a potential jackass.
