    You laugh @Pronewbi3 , but I have ran into bears before! Once, cause I was lost and looking at a map and being totally silent for just long enough that a bear walked straight up on me.

    We have small black bears here but they are fairly rare. When I was young I was..I dunno, wandering around the swamp because I loved the woods. I was sitting on a fallen tree drinking some water and this bear walks up on me and we both jumped in surprise...I guess neither of us expected the other. He just sorta...walked off. I'm guessing he was telling his bear friends about the psycho 10 miles in the middle of the swamp ;)
