TIL Cat herpes is a thing! Luckily, they don't have the eye ulcers typical of that and just have calcivirus instead , which arguably seems like it sucks so hard but they will clearly recover from. We got the distemper vaccine but apparently there are 40 strains of fcv and they got a particularly virulent one that didn't give no shits. Bearnie and Porg both had a much less intense reaction than Scrags did tho, so that's probably why.
