That is why I don't buy externals, that and they slow your system down. At least it comes with WD Reds (NAS). I would just shuck it and add it to my RAID.

well yeah but if you rip it out of the stupid casing it is a normal HDD. They really should put a fan or something in these enclosures if heat is a problem but
