I suggest it if your queue isn't full. Anyone who has been turking for awhile has likely been burned for 'going to quickly' or w/e.

If it feels like it would look odd to the requester, I bake it a bit. Haven't been flat out rejected ever for going "too fast" but I def don't want to risk it ever because I've seen just about everyone else experience it.

Got dinged the other day for submitting a HIT too fast, even though the work was correct.

That's happened to me a few times before. Thankfully the last time I was able to get the rejection reversed.

Discussion - do you guys have set hours that you feel you "need" to be on - a shift, if you will? Do you get up at a certain time to Turk? Do you think certain periods of the day are more lucrative than others?

Basically this... While I have learned that being up early ends up working well.. I'm at my computer all day anyways and listen for pings to go ham on mturk.

using the overwatch script was life changing on mturk as far as making money wise.

I try to be on by 8 at the latest, and I usually work until I've hit my goal and feel burnt out or until I'm satisfied. Yesterday it was 7-4pm. Today it looks like it might be a little longer.

How do you feel about Overwatch vs Turkmaster? Aren't they roughly the same thing?

I work from home so it's always on in the BG. When things appear, I switch to mturk for a bit. When it's slow, I'm doing my other work or doing something else, but I keep the dings loud enough should I hear something. I usually don't try that hard on weekends cuz they rarely are worth it but I've been surprised sometimes. One of my best days a few months ago was on a Sunday and I made my entire goal for the week in one day.

And I haven't been part of the forum bandwagon for crazy long, not like most others, but interacting with other workers and seeing how they do things compared to how I do things and learning and adapting, etc, has been helpful.

Oh yeah, I was going to have an mturk contest with a few people back on the last forum! I wonder if they came over to this forum too, I still wanna do that..

I second this. I wish I'd done it six months ago when I started.

They aren't at all the same thing at all.

Turkmaster is comparable to Panda Crazy.

Overwatch is comparable to Hit Monitor.
