I did get my tax refund from the IRS today though. That’s right, my 2019 tax refund. On December 9th 2020

I think some requesters do this on purpose, to get 'qualified' respondents.

Well worth it imo! We waited like 4 years. That was a fucking mistake.

 

I have a day job so not self employed taxes here. I won’t in the future though because they always take forever to get me my refund so next year I’m not withholding any from my checks. If one of us needs to hound the other for money they can come get it whenever

You'll always owe SE taxes on whatever you made on Mechanical Turk. I just adjust mine for my w2 job so I owe something at least at the end of the year.

that’s kind of what I’m doing next year. No need for me to give them an interest free loan of my money. I’ll just keep it for now and you let me know what I owe ya next year and I’ll cut ya a check that day. No waiting half a year(or full year this year) for my money

 

It's easier when you owe them indeed. I don't pay my quarterly taxes either for mturk, I'd rather pay a small penalty and not deal with giving them money every 3 months.
