heh, yeah, i was just posting that as you did. my 2012 had to have the trans rebuilt twice, and both clutches replaced twice. it was a disaster. i traded it in the second the warranty was up and got my newer one with more equipped for roughly the same monthly payments i had with my 2012, and i [knock on wood] haven't had an issue yet in the two years i've had it.

You guys are brave. If I had those kinds of issues with a car I would never get the same one again. My family has always had bad luck with Ford cars though. Two Taurus', a Tempo, and a Probe. Ford trucks, however, are different. I drove two Rangers til the doors fell off.

Were you granted the qual? Requesting doesn't mean you get it automatically, unless it's an auto-granted qual test.

EDIT: Nevermind, I had the same issue. The HIT box shows as if I'm not qualified in the mTurk interface (even though I requested the qual and got it), yet I was able to accept it.

Sometimes it just takes a few minutes for jeff bezos to flip the qual switch...

 

i know it sounds like a bad idea to replace a bad car with a newer of the same model, but with the early rebranding of the fiesta (and focus) they were trying out a new dual-clutch system so it wasn't unexpected to have happen. all of the issues were fixed starting with, i think, the 2013 models. and they're still upgrading it because they push out trans updates frequently. my car has a doctors appointment next saturday for an oil change and whatever updates are pending, so i'll find out how it's doing then. since i had so many issues with my first one, i'm hyper-aware of any issues and aside from an intermittent shifting stutter in 2nd gear only happening in a very specific situation which really isn't concerning at all, i haven't noticed anything.

 

Well, looks like going back to bed was a good idea.

Speaking of vehicles, I was using mom's GMC Terrain on and off while troubleshooting the Damn Vanninator, and was less than impressed with the torque - I wouldn't wouldn't try to pull a little red wagon with that thing. Say what you will about my brick-like Safari, the thing has some serious BALLS.

I takes about 5 min for me to have the PFA hits change after I request the Qual. But for me it is visual only. The hit is still grey and still tells me I am not able to accept it, but I am am. Hell I am usually a good bit into a batch of PFA before amazon updates to reflect I a can do them. Have you tried accepting one after requesting the Qual?

 

I had a 2011 VW golf TDI diesel. I'm selling it back to VW next monday for 19 grand because of their whole dieselgate scandal lawsuit. I had nothing but problems with it. It has 80,000 miles on it and the transmission is going out, the electrical shit is all wonky. The car seatbelt chimer dings constantly as I'm driving with no way to turn it off. The sensor is broken. VW won't turn off the sensor for me without charging me a shit ton of money. I ended up parking the car in order to avoid any costly repairs to the transmission before I sell it back to VW.

Now I drive a subaru crosstrek. Shit's awesome. Haven't had it long, but it's the best car I've ever had. It rocks in the snow.

TLDR: Fuck volkswagen. You'll have nothing but problems.

Glad I doubled up my weekly goal last week. Today is looking pretty mediocre

 

Decided today was a good day to test some new scripts, trying overwatch instead of TM for now just to see how much difference it makes. Getting very little turking done though.

 

I love VWs but this is every reason I'd never let myself buy one. Always always tempted, I just can't.

Unless it's an 80s Rabbit. Because I have a special spot in my heart for fun little cars like those and I want one.
