I had a list of medications 2 pages long, I still had to sit through jury duty lol. If they think you are still competent, they won't let you scurry away so easily.

I've been called in for jury duty twice in my adult life. That's super fun.

It was fun when I got to get out of class and paid for my sammich though. Suck it college, I have civic duty.

 

I had no hair and a picc line dangling from my arm one of the time, they didn't care.

 

Well, if my meds wouldn't do it then I would just show them my criminal record

 

I've only ever been called once, and it was while my son was in the hospital. Called them, and they didn't cancel it; they pushed me back to March (and I was sternly informed there was NO getting out of it for any reason in March). Petit Juror.

 

i mean the first line in the jury summons is 'Be a citizen of the US' you potatoes can't keep your bs straight. i ended up going to the courthouse to be like fix your record ppl i CAN'T serve......now i can

They would prolly pay me more than I have been making here tho

 

Unless it's a felony or a theft charge, that won't stop them either.

Mind you, you can get booted for way more arbitrary reasons, but a misdemeanor won't likely get you out of it.

 

I like it when that comedian says - Do you really want your life in the hands of 12 people that couldnt get out of jury duty - lol
