My eldest came home from the hospital on my 21st birthday. I can absolutely say I was not ready. It was difficult, scary and exhausting but the most rewarding thing I had ever experienced. My second boy came along a few years later and was a bit easier, having had some experience. AND THEN I remarried five years ago to a gal 11 years my junior, so there was no chance of me getting out of having more lol. You know what I found out all those years later, being more mature, experienced and financially stable-ish? I doesn't get ANY easier! My eldest daughter came along 3 and a half years ago, and it was back to square one: difficult, scary, exhausting and worth every moment People must think I'm a bit off having a 2, 3, 16 and 19 year old, but I honestly couldn't be happier

You're right that the teenager who is growing like he's a weed won't eat "proper" portions. He eats so much I sometimes worry he's going to pull a Violet and instantly puff up.
