Same here. I Make a ginormous crockpot batch for my kid and freeze it up in single servings that he can reheat whenever he wants chili.

I don't like chili, but the kid does, so I make it for him often.

 

Personally...I don't mind sweating a little when I eat chili...

 

Turkey chili is white chili. I'd say add avocados if you want, but I'm not living in Colorado Springs drinking quad IPAs and brushing patchouli oil through my beard, so I have no dog in that fight.

Thai chilies take care of that. Just one or two depending on the size of the batch is enough.

 

My Nana Bunny told me that if you cook it, you get to decide how it's made and if other people don't like it that way, they can go make their own. This came up when I convinced her to put peanut butter cups in the cannoli instead of chocolate chips and several family members BLEW THEIR TOPS. She told them they could feel free to make their own cannoli if they didn't like the ones we made. I was like 5 and it stuck with me and anyone who has eaten at my house can tell you all about my feelings on this matter.

I have no idea WHAT they put in that stuff but I had sweat coming out every pore, my eyes were watering and my nose was running, I wanted to die. Protip: Get yourself a mattress for super cheap. It's a gamble. Distressed inventory. Just picked up a queen memory foam 10 incher for 66 bucks. Wish me luck. This may have been a terrible decision. Ebay has a pretty generous return policy though so if it's super bad - you'll get your money back. maybe...

 

No, I meant add a couple Thai chilies and the chili will make you cry.

I you were in Mexico, good chance they were using Arbol or Japones (which are Asian and similar to Thai chilies) that were harvested before turning red. They can be so deadly, especially if they don't deseed them. You can order them dried out to use in stews are other stuff to spice them up. I don't recommend them for salsas.

 

Damn, Ive been wanting to up grade to a king and that's super cheap lol. So tempting..
