I can vouch for this. The rental I had before I bought my house had the worse hard water I've ever personally experienced. CLR worked great.

 

I'm honestly so happy I moved. I had extremely hard water my whole life.. It's so nice showering with city water and not feeling like a dry sponge after.

I cannot begin to describe to you just how virile and manly I felt a few months ago when I took apart the pipes underneath our kitchen sinks to clear a blockage, and put them back together, and everything worked and nothing leaked! I felt even more manly because we have two sinks with a garbage disposal in one and that means lots of pipes underneath and very very scary to someone like me who's completely incompetent at handyman stuff.
