    SK fangirl here and they are bloated. But I think some of the film adaptations lack some substance because he says so much shit in people's heads that it doesn't convert well in film and just comes off as awkward or janky. Regardless, I will read and reread his books and watch and rewatch his films, because for me a damn good story matters above all else and goddamn that man tells a good story.

    And I respect your opinion because you said it in a way that doesn't shit all over them. :D

    Also, eff Comcast right now. There's an outage of course. *quietly smashes things*

    Yes, Comcast. My internet keeps going out for the past few day now. It was off for about 8 hours the other day. :emoji_rage: I was going to ask @Hummingbirdee if she is on Comcast.

    I dunno what it's "officially" for, I just know the news is saying because of Net Neutrality.

    But I am for some strange reason completely unbothered by that whole situation, so I don't really care either way, I just think it's funny about the bonuses because from what I understand Comcast (before Net Neutrality) made Netflix pay them a bunch of money in order for them to not throttle their bandwidth to Netflix :flail:

    Lol Of course it would get spun that way. Both bills (or laws?) got passed right around the same time. Correlation =/= causation but people will have their opinions regardless.

    Also you are correct, they did. Comcast is a huge entity that wants errbody's money.

    A bit of both. AT&T and Comcast have both announced bonuses re: the tax bill and suggested a lot more investment of infrastructure re: Net. They've (Comcast and Direct TV, AT&T's internet service) also announced price hikes for internet next year.
