12/26 - Tinsel Thursday!

Okay, cause that always took a day to push to payments and then a day after that is when it started pushing to the bank.
If I transferred on Thursday it would be in payments by Friday and then my bank sometimes took it on Saturday.
I think I'm ganna be a Monday person.

 

do you have to set it up on a monday, for it to go on mondays? or can you set it up now or anytime and pick mondays?

based on the email, and the one person who said they entered their account number wrong and still got their transfer, I feel that they use the bank account on file for payments as a backup if the first one fails to verify

Of course, for the sake of proper 'semantic thinking', I think everyone should realize that Amazon is also 'your bank'.
Do you really think they're making more money shipping packages, with all the labor and mechanics involved, than they
are by trying to hold as much of your money as possible for as long as they can for 'float' purposes?

 

I loved learning how banks use your money. I hate banks, I hate money, I hate the world we live in and I think it's all a big fucking sham. I'd like to deal with barter and trade of physical goods and services but that's gone.

 

Hey now, money is a necessary evil and banks do some good! Ultimately it's a blessing to have a stable purchasing power system with reassurances built in!

That's way too much excitement for a very mediocre survey.

 

I got the email the rest of you guys got. Yesterday I clicked the orange bar of doom and set everything up, and I decided to set things to go to a different bank account too. Today, I went into Amazon Payments to see, first of all, if AP was even still accessible. It was. My new bank account was listed there too, unverified. It never had been there before so it looks like they are indeed still using Payments behind the scenes. The email today pretty much confirms that. (I did verify the bank account, so hopefully it works.)

If I were to guess at it, I'd say this is damage control in case they run into an issue where Payments does something weird like the massive withdrawal failure a few months ago. This way, people don't ham on the Transfer button a million times to try and recreate the negative Payments balance situation. If the transfer option is removed from us, that loophole remains closed.

 

So, if we do the 3 days, then the day it transfers changes each week...right? Or is one transfer 3 days and one 4 days apart?

 

That was my big question which I hadn't asked yet!
