I am a Ph.D. student working at Purdue Crowdsourcing Lab. I would like to invite you to participate in our study. The entire experiment in our study has two parts: Part 1: from 20th of July 2022 2 pm ET to 23th of July 2022 2 pm ET; Part 2: 25th, 26th, 27th of July 2022 at 2 pm ET & 6 pm ET; Requester Name: Purdue Crowdsourcing Lab You have to do Part 1 in order to be qualified for Part 2. The study must be played on a desktop or laptop (No mobile support.). ------------------------------- Part 1 HIT information: HIT title: [Part 1/2] Predict criminal defendants’ recidivism risk Times: from 20th of July 2022 2 pm ET to 23th of July 2022 2 pm ET Expected Qualification HIT length: 2-5 minutes ($0.3 base pay) Note: The HIT will be open for 3 days. You can join any time you want. ------------------------------- Part 2 HIT information: HIT title: [Part 2/2] Predict criminal defendants’ recidivism risk Times: 25th, 26th, 27th of July 2022 at 2 pm ET & 6 pm ET; Expected HIT length: 5-20 minutes ($1 base pay + up to $2.4 in performance bonuses) Note: The HIT will only open to be accepted for 10 minutes, but it will last 1 hour) Part 2 HIT expectations: 800 workers will do Part 1 and will receive the qualification to do Part 2. We will post our Part 2 HIT in six batches (in three days and two sessions per day; on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of July at 2 PM ET & 6 PM ET). Each batch will allow 70 workers to participate (a total of 420 workers will do Part 2). You are allowed to take the Part 2 HIT at most once (i.e., if you complete the Part 2 HIT in one of the batches, you should not take the HIT in other batches). If you are to participate and get assigned the qualification, it is critical that you show up on time at the beginning of the scheduled time slots. Otherwise, it would delay the start of the study for the other participants.
