    You can use the app to scan and pay and skip the checkout lines. I wish costco would do that. My sister has a membership so I've gone with her a few times. They have a few things that I can't get at costco like coffee filters but it's more out of the way so she doesn't go often. I like Costco better overall though.

    I didn't know about being able to skip lines at Sams with the app. That's incredible, easily the worst part of going are the lines bc people buy so much

    That is a good point. They were asking for user IDs in the emails. I should have noticed that as a red flag.

    But can't requesters get your mturk ID through a hit anyway?

    So I guess that is not too bad?

    Yeah I'm not really worried about that - I had emailed him back after he sent out a free $2 hit to everyone who qualified. That made me eager to jump on and I did a ton of the first batch, but it killed my brain. I have a hard time writing like this repeatedly for hours bc its just saying the same thing over and over and over - and copy/paste is disabled so you can't even speed it up

    Anyway I was just wondering about the possibility of someone imitating a well known req to get a bunch of free AI training data

    Giving them your ID and your email address is potentially an issue when combined. They could then figure out who you are depending on your usage of that email

    Maybe they will do some hits on my account for me, I could use the money lol.

    But seriously, I monitor any emails from Amazon about changes to my account settings, so I don't worry about that stuff.
