I was a performing arts major in college until I paralyzed part of my vocal chord, said fuck it, and switched over to a different program 23 credits from finishing. I have 0 shame even though it's lame AF. I've been dancing around since I was 3 and I insisted to my dad I be allowed to sing and dance in public or else. I would legit hop on tables and stuff. He put me in pageants as soon as he could, just so I had another outlet for it besides whatever community theater/dance class/music class I could scramble my way into.

When I was half-corpse in the hospital, my dad once assured me he would play my pageant videos at my funeral. I'm not kidding. I flailed at him as hard as I could to indicate, "NO!"
