How long to get 500 participants?

MTurk doesn't charge fees until req approves the HIT (its more like a debit card hold on your account balance.. actually, hell idk how it works with the new charge system since I'm too scared to upgrade LOL). They set aside an amount, but even after cancelling a batch [at least historically] it was possible for workers to still submit the HITs if they'd already accepted them. Haven't tested that in forever, but safe rule of thumb is to cancel, wait the amount of time you set the duration for, then republish otherwise you could go over quotas.

No clue if that's still the case now or not..
