Taxingly Tumblin' Taco Tuesday

I won't do like coffee but a meal might be worth paying delivery. The amount of time it would take me to get the toddler loaded into the car amidst a near-certain tantrum is just not worth it. We have an Indian restaurant we like that ends up being about $60 for three days of dinners for the two of us, including delivery. It's expensive, but not horrible.

 

That's actually not bad! I'm really surprised by that.

I think that is the basic strategy of the tech companies, who have pockets full of seed capital cash. They have infinite money and offer rock bottom prices (I saw this with airbnb and uber), then once they get a huge usership base, they come in with the fees and (real costs) to run the business.

 

dude, a candy bar at the gas station is like 2.50-3 now. Back in my day they were a straight 0.50. and we had penny candy that annoyed the eff out of cashiers. the only cheap food is at the dollar tree and that's guaranteed heart disease, maybe diabetes.

 

Oh, man. AirBnB is a whole monster unto itself. Sometimes on Reddit people will post infuriating shots of their bill and the cleaning fee alone is like, what even is this?

 

$4 off mturk. The platform is so dead if you don't have quals.

 

I've done several of those and it's still my natural reaction to want to hit the submit button to go to the next. I haven't yet but it's only a matter of time.

 

Sometimes it's not even worth shopping at Dollar Tree for me. You might pay less in total, but price per ounce is a ripoff. Not to mention the poor quality of certain things. Their tortillas taste like they were stored in a wet cardboard box for three months. Thankfully, there's an Aldi right across the street.

 

Today's been dead for me on Prolific and MTurk. Just now, 5 studies popped in my queue. I did one, but dismissed the rest due to being underpaid trash. It's hard to stay focused and motivated on such slow days...

 

I buy my candy from Costco and Target. Costco is really good for foodstuff if you eat more than me, I usually end up giving some to the neighbors before it goes bad (cheese, produce, etc).

 

No I'm being real. It's still morning and I've made $40.92 on Mturk so far. I can't even pay attention to the other 2.
