Good morning, I am a requester and I am trying to understand in the pricing what is an assignment. If for example I provide a HIT which consists of a survey containing 3 questions, does it count as a single assignment or as three assignment? Thank you?
Your entire survey is a single assignment. So, generally speaking, if you want 1000 people to complete your HIT, you would have 1000 assignments. From this official MTurk Concepts page: Also worth checking out: How to run a study on Amazon Mechanical Turk <- this has some meh advice in it, but is a decent general overview of the process Data structure of an assignment I assume you're not a university student / faculty? In this case I'd probably recommend you try to find someone who has experience doing research on MTurk and reach out to them. Could be an MTurk worker who has experience with the requester side of things or, alternatively, there are some companies that do just that - help researchers / students / companies set up their surveys on MTurk or at least make the process simpler. You can of course try to do it all by yourself (I'm sure there are plenty of online guides out there), but to collect high-quality data and to avoid wasting time and potentially money it's not a bad idea to reach out for help if this is your first time.
